The 118 Emergency Service Operations Centre Today

SaveOnLine® Suite 5 sets new standards in the domain of computerized management of emergency events provided by Operations Centres of the 118 Service. Regola’s latest CAD applications efficiently answer the newest requirements of Operations Centres of the 118 Service through an evolved and ground-breaking computerized model. To complement SaveOnLine®’s core, brand-new cartographical and integration modules were designed, and a new engine supporting operational flows was added in order to ensure unprecedented promptness in response/intervention timing.

Main Functions:

CAD: Thanks to SaveOnLine®, the Centre’s operator can focus on his main task; in fact, the information system will deal with all other duties (such as collecting and representing information, singling out o sorting out possible ambiguities, selecting useful data). SaveOnLine® coordinates all activities displaying them as Events, nonetheless, operators can choose to work by Mission at any time, or to switch from one mode to another.

HOSPITALS: SaveOnLine®’s HS module allows to provide teleconsultation during an emergency by allowing real-time communication among emergency vehicles, Operations Centres and Hospitals. This makes it possible to rely on precise and complete clinical data.

WEB FEATURES: SaveOnLine® Web Access is a collection of tools allowing “external users” (that is, users not working at an Emergency Centre) to rely on all features provided by the Suite through remote management via the Internet. Among the activities that can be remotely coordinated are: Intervention Conclusion, Personnel Checklist and Onboard equipment Checklist, Warehouse/Consumable Management, Specific Material (to be used in case of street accidents, allergic reactions etc…), Hospital Bed Availability, Hospital equipments checking, Apparatus operation checking, Triage queue consultation, Messaging and document exchange among facilities.

CARTOGRAPHY: SaveOnLine® 5 provides a brand new Cartography Module and ensures innovative performances, including a routing calculation time of less than 0.1 seconds. The system can also work in simulation mode and display routes through linear representations.

ON-BOARD: SaveOnBoard® combines the usual computerized tools for data collection and exchange with a new set of state-of-the art features based on wireless hotspot generated on the intervention site.

MAXISCREEN: SaveOnLine® Outline allows to manage multiscreen synoptic displays. It operates through video matrices and, among other tasks, it allows to show reports dealing with network saturation and triage queues at hospital E&A, or display information on hardware device functioning.

ADMINISTRATION: Thanks to SaveOnOffice, it is possible to produce documentation for invoicing, conventions, payments and consumables using information acquired from the Event management system. For example, emergency intervention records can provide information regarding vehicle activity and equipment expenditure.

Safety

Traceability: All data related to activities managed through SaveOnLine® throughout the time of an emergency event and during an emergency mission is recorded and cannot be modified. This offers the possibility to archive all significant information and retrieve it whenever necessary in order to have a comprehensive picture of the emergency. This is particularly useful in the event of legal litigations, or, simply for performance evaluation purposes.

Fault-Recovery: In case of fault during an event, the system grants the correct storing of all activities performed until the time of the fault, preventing any possible data loss or inconsistency.

Authentication: Authentication standards and user profile tools ensure maximum interaction with external systems, and provide efficient and established security mechanisms.

Usability

SaveOnLine® Suite 5 has a completely new user interface providing excellent features in order to display information through feedback provided by operators on the emergency site. The user can rely on new thematic frames and innovative tools in order to display or enter information, thus enabling to speed up performances and reduce errors. The whole framework can be customized by a specific user, to enhance comfort, and preconfigured by operations position or role.

CHECK EXAMPLE

Multilanguage support

Having achieved a growing international success, SaveOnLine® Suite is today available in the most common languages, so that it can be employed outside Italy.

More than 10 years of activity.

SaveOnLine® has been supporting the 118 Emergency Service of the Piedmont Region for more than 10 years, managing over 2 million calls per year. The Suite has been internationally acknowledged and was chosen as the official emergency management platform during Torino 2006 Winter Olympics, in order to provide the coordination of different resources (118, Municipal Police, Civil Protection,…).

ProQA™
SaveOnLine® has been the first italian CAD platform having gained the ProQA™ certification by Priority Dispatch™, the company leading the emergency dispatch market. ProQA™ module introduces in SaveOnLine® a solid computer-aided case-entry and key questioning and assists dispatchers in quickly determining the appropriate Determinant Code. SaveOnLine can also fit into existing CAD software to reach a full ProQA™ integration.

LowCode™
SaveOnLine® is the sole italian CAD solution supporting LowCode™ by Priority Dispatch™. LowCode™ is an IT solution dedicated to low-severity codes (white codes) and SaveOnLine® is able to quickly transfer the management of a non-critical case from its dispatch module to LowCode™, thus reducing the case-load and allowing a more specific treatment of the patient. Vice versa, a case formerly classified as a White Code can be quickly exported from LowCode™ to SaveOnLine®, if needed.
